19 weeks and counting

My first week back to work has been great. Last night I found myself dozing during the 2nd inning of the Braves game and had to call it a night at 7:40. Besides going to bed extremely early, all is well back at work.

It seems like everyone wants to recommend a book to me now that I'm pregnant. I'm a reader, so I don't mind it. There have been 2 that I really like. Pregnancy Week by Week is very informative, and I like it because it tells me what to expect for each week, which is really important to me because it's my first time. It also tells us how big the baby is and how big I should be. :) The book that I have been reading the past two weeks is The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy. The disclaimer says that it's everything your doctor doesn't tell you. This book actually makes me laugh out loud because the writer is so blunt. It also made me feel not-so-ridiculous for waking up 2 weeks ago in the middle of the night crying because I was thinking about what I might feel if my dog died. I'm not crazy; I'm just pregnant.

One of my favorite things about being pregnant is that it a pregnancy season amongst my friends (and most of them are having boys). It makes it more fun to go shopping and go out to eat with my pregnant friends than by my pregnant self. Last week I got to hang out with my 2 best friends from middle school Heather and Miriam. Heather just had Baby Brayden 3 weeks ago, and Miriam is due in 2 weeks. It was so much fun visiting with Heather and her adorable little boy. It's so hard for me to fathom that I will have one that little in a couple of months. The most fun part is that we are all having boys and are looking forward to them being in the same class at Child's World in a few years.
